Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience working with students who are blind or have low vision, preferably in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of specialized teaching techniques, assistive technologies, and Braille instruction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to support students, teachers, and families
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt instructional materials
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students with visual impairments across various grade levels
- Conduct assessments to determine students' unique needs and recommend appropriate modifications
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to implement accommodations in the classroom
- Monitor student progress and participate in IEP meetings, providing valuable input on goal development and achievement

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required
