Job Description:
An immediate opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in an onsite school setting. This contract role is for the current school year and offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time scheduling options. The TVI will support students with visual impairments by providing specialized instruction and services to enhance academic access and independence.
Qualifications:
- Active TVI certification/license (state-specific requirements apply)
- Experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Adapt materials and learning environments to ensure accessibility
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal development
- Maintain accurate documentation in alignment with state and district guidelines
