Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification or license as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Previous experience working in a school environment preferred
• Familiarity with IEPs and progress monitoring
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods for hearing-impaired students
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning and communication needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative instructional support to students with hearing loss, both individually and in group settings
• Assess, develop, and implement IEP goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Modify general education curriculum and provide appropriate accommodations or assistive technology as needed
• Serve as a resource for school personnel and families, offering strategies and advocacy for student success
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and collaborate on evaluations
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and independence
