Job Description

Inspire and support students as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, onsite contract position offers an impactful opportunity to empower students through accessible instruction and advocacy. Youll collaborate with dedicated professionals, using your expertise to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH)
  • Experience teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based teaching practices and individualized student support
  • Ability to adapt instruction and materials to meet students diverse needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction to students with hearing differences, utilizing specialized strategies and resources
  • Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal requirements
  • Support students language development, academic achievement, and self-advocacy skills
  • Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and services provided
  • Foster an accessible, inclusive classroom environment
