An educational opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students in Trona, CA. This contract position is onsite and scheduled from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with part-time hours totaling 15 per week. The role involves one-on-one caseloads, with potential for additional responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Employ specialized teaching strategies and communication methods to support student learning and engagement
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and related service providers to promote student success
- Monitor and report student progress regularly
- Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure appropriate for teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Experience working directly with DHH students in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to work onsite and commit to the contract duration
