Qualifications:

• Holds West Virginia Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) Certification
• Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably across various grade levels (K-12)
• Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal
• Ability to create and execute individualized instructional plans
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centered educational approaches

Responsibilities:

• Provide 2.5 hours per week of direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Collaborate with educators, families, and service providers to develop and implement appropriate IEPs
• Dedicate 2.5 hours weekly to planning, documentation, and progress tracking
• Utilize diverse instructional methods and adaptive technologies to foster student engagement and achievement
• Advocate for student access and inclusion within general classroom settings
• Educate and consult with school staff regarding best practices and accommodations
