Job Description

A remote role is available for a licensed Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to provide telehealth services to a high school student enrolled in an Early College Program. This position requires specialized support tailored to the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students and will involve minimal weekly interaction, ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering targeted instructional support and therapy through telehealth platforms
  • Collaborating with the student, family, and district personnel to foster communication and academic progress
  • Leveraging expertise in deaf education to support the students unique learning goals

Qualifications:

  • Valid Teacher of the Deaf license
  • Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, preferably in a high school or early college setting
  • Comfort and proficiency using telehealth technology for remote service delivery
  • Strong ability to work independently with limited supervision

This contract position spans from ASAP until May 26, 2027, with flexible scheduling based on the student's needs. Initial training will be provided to ensure smooth onboarding and alignment with district expectations. Fingerprint clearance and a signed contract on file are required prior to starting.
