Job Description

A contracted teaching opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing specializing in telehealth services. This role involves providing support to a high school student enrolled in an Early College Program. The position offers remote work arrangements with flexible weekly hours ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support services to a student with hearing impairments using telehealth methods.
  • Collaborate with district supervisors and follow established individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with educational teams.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Teacher of the Deaf license is required.
  • Experience working with deaf or hard of hearing students, preferably in telehealth or remote education.
  • Familiarity with Early College Program student needs is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage remote service delivery efficiently.

Location:

  • This role supports a student based in Cerulean, Kentucky, within the broader school district area.

Additional Information:

  • The contract duration runs from ASAP through May 26, 2027.
  • Interviews will be conducted remotely with panel or casual formats, scheduled upon notice.

  • A signed contract and compliance with district onboarding procedures, including fingerprinting and training, are required prior to start.
