Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and active Washington State teaching license, with appropriate endorsements for Deaf/Hard of Hearing instruction
• Proven experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in school settings
• Knowledge of various communication modalities, including American Sign Language (ASL), oral approaches, and assistive technology
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary educational teams, families, and related service providers
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, adapting materials and methods to meet individual learning needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with families and staff
• Monitor student progress, maintain records, and adjust interventions as needed
• Advocate for accessible resources, classroom accommodations, and effective communication strategies
• Offer guidance and consultation to staff and families on best practices for supporting DHH students
