Job Description

This contract role spans the full 20262027 school year, with positions available at both the elementary/middle and high school levels, focusing on math and core English instruction.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) education (Masters preferred)
  • Demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)assessment required as part of the interview process
  • Valid Educator Certification
  • Strong background in teaching math and core English concepts
  • Experience supporting diverse learners at elementary, middle, or high school levels
  • References, and digital copies of all certifications and licenses, prepared for submission

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction in math or core English language arts to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Tailor instructional strategies to various age groups and learning needs
  • Foster an inclusive, accessible classroom environment to ensure full participation
  • Collaborate with classroom educators, specialists, and interpreters
  • Maintain ongoing communication with families and school staff
  • Track and report student progress, adapting approaches as needed
