Job Description

Step into a meaningful contract role where your expertise will empower students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Were seeking two dedicated educatorsone for elementary or middle school and another for high schoolto support learners in a thriving educational environment starting August 12, 2026, through May 26, 2027. This is an on-site position, offering a consistent weekday schedule of approximately 35 hours per week.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education required; masters degree preferred
  • Valid educator certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education
  • Demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language (ASL), to be evaluated during the interview process
  • Strong foundation in core English and mathematics instruction, with appropriate certifications
  • Experience teaching elementary, middle, or high school students, with flexibility to serve different age groups
  • Ability to provide verification of all certifications and professional licenses
  • Availability of professional references upon request

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction, adapting content in math and English to accommodate Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment utilizing ASL and other effective communication techniques
  • Collaborate with school teams and families to address each students unique learning needs
  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor and assess student progress, documenting outcomes and adjusting strategies as needed
