Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education or ASL instruction
• Proficiency in American Sign Language
• Demonstrated experience supporting high school-aged students, especially those with hearing differences
• Strong communication abilities to collaborate with educational teams, families, and students
• Passion for inclusive practices and differentiated instruction

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging ASL lessons and accessible core subject instruction to high school students
• Adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs, ensuring equitable access to education
• Serve as an advocate and resource for students, facilitating language development and self-advocacy skills
• Work closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
• Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
