Job Description

Bring your expertise in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education to a rewarding onsite contract role, supporting students' communication and academic growth. Starting August 3, 2026, and running through May 20, 2027, this full-time position offers a meaningful opportunity to make a daily difference in the lives of young learners. You'll be working 37.5 hours weekly, with final caseload details to be provided soon, ensuring you have the structure to plan engaging and effective lessons.

Qualifications and experience sought:

  • Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Experience teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in school settings
  • Strong knowledge of specialized instructional strategies and accommodations
  • Proficiency with assistive technology and communication methods such as ASL
  • Clear communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • A nurturing approach and commitment to student success

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering individualized and group instruction in support of IEP goals
  • Adapting curriculum to meet varied student needs and learning styles
  • Collaborating with general education staff, specialists, and families
  • Advocating for students and providing resources to support inclusion
  • Monitoring student progress and preparing thoughtful documentation
  • Contributing to IEP meetings and ongoing team communication
