Job Description

Join an educational environment dedicated to supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, serving elementary students from kindergarten through 5th grade. This part-time opportunity is based in San Tan Valley, AZ, with an assignment at one school. The role requires providing specialized instruction and support to young learners, with the potential for increased hours as enrollment grows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in grades K5
  • Collaborate with paraeducators or other support staff provided by the district
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with families and school personnel to support student success

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDDHH) certification is required
  • Current IVP fingerprint clearance card
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students in specialized educational settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with district staff

Details:

  • Contract position starting 7/22/2026 through 5/27/2027
  • Part-time commitment: one day per month initially, with potential increase depending on enrollment
