A fulfilling opportunity is available for an experienced educator specializing in supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. This full-time, on-site contract position will cover the academic year from August 11, 2026, through June 2, 2027, serving schools primarily in the Richmond area of San Francisco. The role is itinerant and consultative, focusing on students from early childhood through transition age across the district.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid teaching credential for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) and active CTC certification required
• Previous experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in school settings highly desirable
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a consultative, districtwide capacity
• Ability to travel between multiple school sites within the district
• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-directed professional approach

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative services for a districtwide caseload of students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing, from early childhood through transition age
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, administrators, and families to support student needs and accommodations
• Develop, monitor, and assist with implementation of IEPs and student support plans
• Provide staff development and consultative support for best practices in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
• Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and services provided, ensuring compliance with state and district requirements
