Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in a vibrant educational community near San Francisco. In this full-time, onsite contract position, youll play an integral role during the 2026-2027 school year (August to June 2027), working at a single school location.

Your expertise will ensure students receive the direct instruction and specialized support they need to thrive. As a valued member of a multidisciplinary team, your collaboration will help shape customized educational plans that truly enhance each learners experience.

What Youll Do:

  • Provide direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Adapt educational materials and curricula to support individual student needs.
  • Manage and troubleshoot assistive listening devices in the classroom.
  • Collaborate daily with SLPs, audiologists, and parents to write and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals.
  • Monitor student progress, maintaining clear documentation and communication with the team.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license.
  • California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential.
  • Experience supporting students with deaf or hard of hearing needs preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and collaboration.
