Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. This rewarding contract position runs from August 11, 2026, through June 2, 2027. In this onsite, districtwide role, youll provide essential consultative services to students from early childhood through transition, primarily throughout the Richmond area of San Francisco.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) teaching credential
- California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification
- Strong background in consultative teaching practices for DHH students
- Ability to travel to various campuses within the district
- Skilled in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Experience developing and supporting individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Dedication to fostering positive, inclusive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to meet each students unique communication and educational needs
- Travel to assigned schools as an itinerant teacher, providing services across early childhood through transition age groups
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized goals for DHH students
- Advocate for accommodations, resources, and appropriate technologies
- Support classroom teachers with instructional strategies and modifications
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise on hearing loss implications for learning
- Maintain thorough documentation of services and student progress

Compensation for this position ranges from $38.00 to $63.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
