Your expertise ensures equitable learning opportunities, fosters communication development, and helps students thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • State certification or appropriate licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Experience with a range of communication modalities (ASL, oral, total communication, etc.)
  • Ability to individualize instruction and develop IEP goals
  • Strong organizational, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Passion for advocating for students with hearing differences
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative services to students as indicated by IEPs
  • Develop engaging, accessible lesson plans and learning materials
  • Assess student progress and adjust strategies as needed
  • Work closely with general education teachers, administrators, and support personnel
  • Partner with families to support student growth and inclusion
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation consistent with district protocols
