This contract opportunity is ideal for a passionate Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing who excels in delivering customized, student-centered support. Located near Red Mountain, CA, youll collaborate closely with a single student in a 1:1 setting, fostering growth from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027. Enjoy a focused caseload with the potential for expanding details after spring break.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid credential as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Proven experience working with school-aged students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to tailor instruction
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and collaboration skills
- Comfortable providing onsite instructionthis assignment is not remote or hybrid
- Enthusiasm for fostering participation and inclusivity within the school community
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work directly with one student to assess strengths, develop goals, and implement effective learning strategies
- Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet the unique communication and learning needs of deaf/hard of hearing students
- Regularly update student progress and consult with parents, general education staff, and related service providers
- Advocate for your students access and inclusion across all learning environments
- Support IEP meetings with insightful input and thorough documentation
