Job Description

Seeking a skilled professional certified as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to support K-5 students in a growing elementary school setting in Queen Creek, AZ. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing specialized instruction and support one day per month, with the potential to increase based on student enrollment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored educational services to students with hearing impairments across grades Kindergarten through 5th.
  • Collaborate with school staff and specialized support personnel to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instructional methods to individual needs.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings and professional development sessions as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDDHH) certification.
  • Current IVP fingerprint clearance.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children with hearing impairments preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Role Details:

  • Location: Queen Creek, Arizona.
  • Employment Type: Part-time contractual engagement.
  • Hours: One day per month to start, flexibility to increase.
  • Caseload: One elementary school (K-5).
  • Supervision and support provided by on-site specialized staff (paraeducators, RBTs, CNAs or LPNs).
  • Virtual interview process with a decision timeline of 24 to 48 hours.
