Job Description

This full-time, onsite contract position is for the 2026-2027 academic year, helping students thrive academically and socially. Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
  • Solid understanding of Deaf culture, ASL, and/or other communication modalities
  • Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a school-based setting preferred
  • Ability to develop and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work onsite throughout the contract term

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with hearing differences
  • Adapt curriculum materials and employ best instructional practices for DHH learners
  • Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families
  • Advocate for student access to communication, technology, and classroom accommodations
  • Monitor student progress, adjust goals, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Create a nurturing and accessible classroom environment
