Job Description

Multiple full-time positions are available, with flexibility to serve in a K-12 itinerant capacity or within a designated elementary, middle, or high school.

Your expertise will empower students to thrive. Bring your skills to adapting curriculum, utilizing assistive technology, and supporting language development in ASL, spoken language, or total communication. As a valued team member, you will help ensure each student has full access to academics and all aspects of school life.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Florida Department of Education certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (K-12)
  • DHH endorsement and general education certification required for elementary, middle, and high school roles
  • Experience developing and implementing compliant IEPs
  • Proficiency supporting language acquisition and providing accommodations for DHH students
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, interpreters, families, and specialists
  • Recent fingerprinting (potentially transferable via the AHCA Clearinghouse)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across varied age groups
  • Monitor progress, conduct assessments, and maintain thorough documentation
  • Collaborate in ESE meetings, state testing, and transition planning
  • Coordinate and communicate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
  • Provide staff training on DHH accommodations and technology as needed
