Job Description

A teaching opportunity is available for a licensed Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to serve K-12 students during the summer session. This onsite contract position offers a focused caseload supporting deaf and hard of hearing students in an educational setting.

Location: Overland Park, KS
Duration: June through July 2026
Hours: 17 hours per week
Caseload: K-12, summer session

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students communication and learning needs
  • Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to support student progress
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments
  • Monitor and document student performance and growth throughout the summer term

Qualifications:

  • Valid Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license
  • Valid Kansas teaching license
  • Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing is preferred
