Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois TDHH License (Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing)
  • Meets any district or state-specific requirements, such as Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Experience supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred
  • Skilled in both individual and small group instruction
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with general and special education staff, as well as families
  • Strong communication and organization abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instructional and consultative services to students across assigned locations
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional materials according to student needs
  • Assess, monitor, and document student progress and program effectiveness
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student education plans
  • Provide resources and training for school staff to support inclusive practices
  • Advocate for student access, accommodations, and assistive technology as needed

Compensation for this position ranges from $25.00 to $50.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
