What you bring:

  • Current Nebraska DHH teaching license (required)
  • Previous experience teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred
  • Familiarity with diverse communication modes and assistive technology tools
  • Strong understanding of K-12 curriculum adaptations and IEP processes
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organizational skills to manage varied caseloads and individualized plans

What youll do:

  • Deliver direct instruction and support to students across K-12 grade levels
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with the multidisciplinary team
  • Adapt classroom materials and environments to meet students needs
  • Support language acquisition and communication skills, employing a range of effective strategies
  • Advocate for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students and ensure their full participation in school life
  • Consult with general education teachers and staff to foster inclusive practices
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress monitoring
