Seeking a qualified educator with specialized expertise in Deaf and Hard of Hearing instruction for a summer contract position in Olathe, KS. This role focuses on providing dedicated educational support to K-12 students during the summer months, offering an excellent opportunity to impact learners' growth and development while working a part-time schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with students needs and developmental levels.
- Collaborate with families, clinicians, and educational professionals to foster a comprehensive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports for each student.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings.
Qualifications:
- TDHH (Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing) license.
- Valid Kansas teaching license.
- Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across K-12 grade levels.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage learners with diverse needs.
Position Details:
- Location: Onsite in Olathe, Kansas.
- Contract Duration: June through July 2026.
- Hours: Approximately 17 hours per week.
- Caseload: Summer caseload serving K-12 students.
