  • Ability to develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
  • Demonstrated patience, creativity, and understanding of diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction tailored to the needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other specialists to modify curricula and create accessible lessons
  • Monitor student progress and conduct ongoing assessments to guide instruction
  • Implement and support the use of assistive listening devices and classroom technology
  • Advocate for students' access and inclusion in all school activities
  • Facilitate language development and social-emotional growth
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and needs
