Job Description
Make an impact as a Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students by providing essential support in an inclusive educational setting for the full 2026/2027 school year. Work onsite, dedicating your expertise to one school and shaping the educational journeys of students with hearing differences.
In this role, youll deliver direct instruction and tailor curricula to fit the unique learning styles of children with deaf and hard of hearing support needs. Your collaboration with a multidisciplinary teamincluding speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and parentswill be vital in developing and implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals. Youll also manage assistive listening technology to enhance classroom accessibility and student participation.
Qualifications:
- Current California Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) License
- California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential
- Experience working within school settings or with multidisciplinary teams strongly preferred
- Knowledge of IEP process and evidence-based instructional strategies for deaf/hard of hearing students
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Adapt general education curricula to meet students needs
- Manage and maintain assistive listening devices
- Collaborate with SLPs, audiologists, parents, and teachers to write and monitor IEP goals
- Advocate for student access and participation in all aspects of school life
- Maintain accurate records and ongoing communication regarding student progress

Compensation for this position ranges from $38.00 to $63.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
