Empower students by providing essential support as an onsite educator for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) learners in a dynamic, multi-site school setting near Oakland, CA. This contract role runs from August 10, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and offers an engaging full-time schedule at 37.5 hours per week. Youll be a key contributor to improved student outcomes, working in person across multiple schools and making a direct, daily impact.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, active DHH certification/license in California
- Previous experience working in California schools is highly valued
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive, communicative approach
- Familiarity with itinerant models servicing multiple locations
- Adept at fostering inclusive learning environments for students with hearing differences
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to DHH students at several school sites
- Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to ensure appropriate accommodations
- Develop, adapt, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Engage with families and multidisciplinary teams to promote each students academic and social growth
- Maintain timely records and progress reports
- Serve as a reliable resource for DHH best practices and assist with staff training
