Job Description
Make a difference as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing supporting students across multiple school sites for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position involves working itinerantly with students from early childhood through transition ages, providing primarily consultative services to ensure each students success in accessing the curriculum.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current California DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) teaching credential required
- CTC documentation
- Experience supporting students with hearing differences in educational settings
- Ability to travel between campuses within the district as needed
- Strong consultative and communication skills
- Commitment to inclusive practices and culturally responsive teaching
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing districtwide (early childhood through transition)
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers, service providers, and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies based on individual needs
- Offer professional development and guidance for school staff regarding accommodations and accessibility
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality standards
This is a full-time onsite role scheduled for 35 hours weekly throughout the school year.
