Qualifications:

  • Holds current Georgia Educator Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing within school settings.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing daily service logs and documentation requirements.
  • Adaptability to serve across multiple school buildings, responding to evolving caseloads.
  • Effective communication skills, collaborating with educational teams, students, and families.
  • Commitment to delivering instruction and support tailored to individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality specialized instruction and resources to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with school teams.
  • Maintain accurate daily service logs as required by the district.
  • Travel to multiple school sites as needed, providing consistent support across the district.
  • Participate in meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff to promote equity and success.
