Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Louisiana Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) License
- Experience with students who are deaf or hard of hearing strongly preferred
- Dedication to inclusive education and individualized learning plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with hearing impairments in an onsite school environment
- Collaborate with other educators, families, and support staff to optimize student learning and engagement
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Foster a positive, accessible, and culturally sensitive classroom for all learners
- Participate in team meetings, ongoing training, and professional development
