Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Louisiana Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) License
  • Experience with students who are deaf or hard of hearing strongly preferred

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction to students with hearing impairments in an onsite school environment
  • Collaborate with other educators, families, and support staff to optimize student learning and engagement
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Foster a positive, accessible, and culturally sensitive classroom for all learners
