Job Description

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current LA TDHH License required
  • Experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or with similar student populations
  • Strong knowledge of educational strategies for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction to a diverse caseload

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instructional services to students with hearing impairments
  • Collaborate with general and special education staff to adapt curriculum and classroom environment
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
  • Attend IEP meetings, contribute to student goal-setting, and communicate regularly with families and team members
  • Support social-emotional growth and advocate for student success throughout the school community
