Job Description
This position requires a certified Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to provide specialized instruction for elementary students from kindergarten through 5th grade. The role is based in Queen Creek, AZ, with services delivered one day per month on a part-time contractual basis, with opportunities to expand hours depending on student enrollment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized educational services tailored to the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students in grades K-5.
- Collaborate with school staff and support personnel to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Provide consultation and resources to classroom teachers and families regarding DHH accommodations and strategies.
- Participate in virtual meetings and coordinate with district personnel for supervision and support.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDDHH) certification.
- Valid IVP fingerprint clearance card.
- Experience working with elementary aged children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Comfortable with virtual interview and onboarding processes.
Additional Information:
- Contract term: July 22, 2026 May 27, 2027.
- One school assignment within the district.
- Part-time, one day per month with potential for additional hours.
- Supervision provided by district staff as needed.
- Virtual interview panel conducted with decisions typically made within 24-48 hours.
