Job Description

Step into a meaningful role empowering students in a supportive PreK6th grade environment designed for learners who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. This contract opportunity is located on-site and dedicated to serving one campus, offering the chance to build lasting relationships as part of a collaborative team.

In this position, youll utilize your expertise to guide and support students, ensuring they have access to the highest quality educational experiences. You will make a direct impact on their communication and academic journey while enjoying a flexible schedulechoose between 21 to 35 hours per week, with a minimum of three 7-hour days.

Qualifications:

  • Active DHH Teaching License issued by the Texas Education Agency (TEA)
  • Background in school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Experience delivering services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
  • Proficiency in evaluating students, interpreting audiograms, and contributing to ARD meetings
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible learning environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instructional support and case management to PreK6th grade students on a designated campus
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations for students with hearing differences
  • Read and interpret audiograms to inform educational planning
  • Participate actively in ARD/IEP meetings, collaborating with staff and families
  • Develop and implement individualized teaching strategies to promote student growth
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams for a holistic approach to learning
