Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This contract role offers flexibility for both full-time and part-time professionals, and serves a diverse age range from kindergarten through high school. The student caseload will be determined to best match your strengths and experience.

This opportunity is ideally suited for those with a passion for fostering inclusive educational environments and using their expertise in Deaf/Hard of Hearing instruction to empower learners. Youll work closely with educators and families to create accessible learning experiences and facilitate communication, ensuring students have the resources and support needed to thrive.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active GA ASL Interpreter credentials/certification required
  • Experience in schools supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to inclusive education for a range of student abilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and support services tailored to students individual needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and support staff
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Adapt curriculum and communication methods for varying abilities and ages
  • Foster a positive, accessible, and supportive classroom environment
