Support students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in a dynamic and inclusive school environment near Lawrenceville, GA. This contract role is ideal for educators experienced in fostering communication, language development, and academic success for students with hearing differences.

Key Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing instruction
• Experience working with students across a range of ages and hearing abilities
• Strong grasp of various communication methods (e.g., ASL, oral, total communication)
• Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Adaptable, patient, and committed to each student's progress

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction in alignment with each students IEP
• Assess students strengths and needs, adapting teaching materials and approaches accordingly
• Provide direct support on speech and language skills, auditory training, and academic subjects
• Facilitate access to general education curriculum through modifications and accommodations
• Consult regularly with staff and parents for optimal student support
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and required documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and professional development sessions
