Job Description

This position seeks a Teacher specializing in Deaf / Hard of Hearing education to support K-12 students during the summer months in Lawrence, KS. The role requires onsite presence from June through July 2026, with an average commitment of 17 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Manage a summer caseload encompassing students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Collaborate with educational and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment.
  • Utilize specialized teaching strategies and resources to meet individual student needs.

Qualifications:

  • Current Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license.
  • Valid Kansas teaching license.
  • Experience working with K-12 students in deaf/hard of hearing education preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
