Youll work with a manageable caseload of 10 students ranging from 1st to 12th grade, guiding their educational journey and ensuring every student receives the specialized attention they deserve. The role spans the academic year, from August 17, 2026, to May 28, 2027, typically between the hours of 8AM and 4PM (with some variability as you collaborate across grades). Travel candidates are welcomethe district reimburses for onsite travel, making this a wonderful choice for professionals eager to experience Alaskas unique community and landscapes.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Alaska teaching license and Type C certification (pending licensure considered with proof)
  • Background in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (DHH-specific teaching experience required)
  • Ability to work onsite with flexibility to travel within the region
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
  • Dedication to individualized instruction across elementary, middle, and high school levels

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with hearing differences, tailoring lesson plans to diverse learning needs
