Qualifications:
- Active Illinois licensure as Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Experience supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing in educational settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to individualized instruction and advocacy
- Ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) for each student
- Adapt curriculum and materials for accessibility
- Provide direct instruction tailored to students communication modes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and engage families in student progress
- Track and document progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Advocate for accessible learning experiences in the classroom
