Key Qualifications:

• Current certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education or Special Education with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement
• Hands-on experience teaching or supporting students with hearing loss in educational settings
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or willingness to utilize communication methods aligned with student needs
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including speech-language pathologists and audiologists
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative instructional support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, both in mainstream and specialized settings
• Adapt curriculum materials to meet the unique needs of each learner
• Administer and interpret assessments to identify student strengths and areas for growth
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support full participation in classroom activities
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students goals
• Engage and communicate regularly with families about student progress and resources
