Job Description
This full-time Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing position is available in a K-12 school environment, located in Harvey, Louisiana. The role involves working onsite for the entire school year under a contract arrangement. Caseload details will be determined upon placement.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Louisiana Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) License
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a K-12 setting is preferred
- Strong communication and instructional skills tailored to diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized educational programs for students with hearing impairments
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
- Utilize specialized techniques and resources to foster language acquisition and academic growth
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Participate in professional development activities to remain current in best practices
