Key Qualifications:

  • Specialized training and experience in deaf/hard of hearing education

  • Commitment to collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and assess student progress
  • Utilize assistive technology, visual aids, and specialized learning materials
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, interpreters, and service providers to ensure accessibility
  • Offer guidance, resources, and training to staff and families
  • Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings and evaluations
