Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current and valid Louisiana TDHH License
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong understanding of individualized instruction strategies
- Collaborative approach to working with colleagues, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and develop individualized education plans for students with hearing impairments
- Assess students abilities, develop appropriate teaching materials, and track progress
- Work collaboratively with other educators and service providers to ensure students needs are met
- Serve as a resource for staff, students, and families regarding best practices for supporting deaf and hard-of-hearing learners
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit each students unique needs and learning styles
