Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Current and valid Louisiana TDHH License
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Strong understanding of individualized instruction strategies
• Collaborative approach to working with colleagues, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and develop individualized education plans for students with hearing impairments
• Assess students abilities, develop appropriate teaching materials, and track progress
• Work collaboratively with other educators and service providers to ensure students needs are met
• Serve as a resource for staff, students, and families regarding best practices for supporting deaf and hard-of-hearing learners
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit each students unique needs and learning styles
