Job Description
Make a positive impact supporting students as a Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing populations for the upcoming school year. This contract position offers the chance to work full-time, with a start date in early August 2026 and concluding in late May 2027, with potential for a few planning days before or after the core assignment. Youll be contributing to an inclusive educational environment and collaborating with teams across several school buildings, as caseloads are finalized.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Georgia Educator Certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing Teaching
- Experience or strong interest in working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Ability to navigate multiple school sites as needed
- Strong organizational skills, especially around daily service logs and case management
- Comfortable managing time independently and meeting compliance requirements
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Maintain daily records and service logs as required by the district
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams to develop and execute individualized educational plans
- Communicate consistently with families and staff to support student success
- Adapt strategies and materials to fit varying student caseloads throughout multiple buildings
