What Youll Bring:

  • Ohio Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) certification (required)
  • Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in a classroom or itinerant setting
  • Commitment to individualized education and effective communication strategies
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and accommodations for diverse learners
  • Strong collaboration skills for teaming with teachers, families, and related service providers

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across various grade levels
  • Adapt and modify curriculum and instructional materials to fit individual student needs
  • Consult with general education staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion within classrooms
  • Travel between school buildings as needed, based on student location and schedule
  • Maintain accurate records, progress monitoring, and data on each students IEP goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of learning plans
