What Youll Bring:
- Ohio Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) certification (required)
- Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in a classroom or itinerant setting
- Commitment to individualized education and effective communication strategies
- Familiarity with assistive technology and accommodations for diverse learners
- Strong collaboration skills for teaming with teachers, families, and related service providers
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across various grade levels
- Adapt and modify curriculum and instructional materials to fit individual student needs
- Consult with general education staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion within classrooms
- Travel between school buildings as needed, based on student location and schedule
- Maintain accurate records, progress monitoring, and data on each students IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of learning plans
