Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their educational journey as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in the Grove City area. This rewarding contract opportunity begins in August and continues through the academic year, offering the chance to work across various school sites to meet the unique needs of students with hearing differences. With a flexible schedule of approximately 10 hours per week and the possibility to coordinate specific days and times, youll find a role that adapts to your routine and the needs of your caseload.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Current Ohio certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) required
  • Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing across a range of ages
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Willingness to travel between buildings as needed
  • Understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and related best practices in deaf education

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct instruction and educational support to students who are deaf/hard of hearing, utilizing diverse communication strategies
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, parents, and related service staff to promote student success
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to suit individual student needs
  • Contribute to IEP development and implementation, with a focus on student growth and achievement
  • Maintain consistent documentation and communication regarding student progress
