Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current Louisiana TDHH (Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing) License required
  • Background in Deaf education or related special education services
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in an onsite school setting
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to your students unique learning needs
  • Collaborate with other special education professionals, general education teachers, and families to ensure student success
  • Monitor and assess student progress, making data-driven adjustments as necessary
  • Provide consultative support and strategies to colleagues and caregivers
  • Participate in professional development sessions and leverage mentorship opportunities from experts in the field
