Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Louisiana TDHH (Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing) License required
- Background in Deaf education or related special education services
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in an onsite school setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to your students unique learning needs
- Collaborate with other special education professionals, general education teachers, and families to ensure student success
- Monitor and assess student progress, making data-driven adjustments as necessary
- Provide consultative support and strategies to colleagues and caregivers
- Participate in professional development sessions and leverage mentorship opportunities from experts in the field
