A school in Great Falls, MT is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to join their educational team on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, providing specialized instruction tailored to their unique learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments.
• Utilize specialized teaching strategies and assistive technologies to support student learning.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech therapists, and other support staff to enhance educational outcomes.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed.
• Provide advocacy and support to students and their families to facilitate communication and access to resources.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification with endorsement or specialization in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education.
• Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and hearing assistive technology preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt instructional approaches to meet diverse learning styles.
