Job Description

A School in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking dedicated Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for both full-time and part-time positions serving students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. These contract roles are available immediately and extend through May 29, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student success.
  • Utilize appropriate assistive technology and communication strategies to enhance learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and development.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
  • Experience teaching K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Strong knowledge of audiological and communication assessments, as well as related assistive technologies.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective, individualized lesson plans.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and educational teams.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Location:

  • Grand Prairie, Texas, with positions serving the wider Fort Worth area.
