Make a meaningful impact supporting K-12 students as a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing through a flexible, contract position in a welcoming educational setting. Qualifications:
- West Virginia Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) Certification
- Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Comfort with direct instruction, planning, and documentation
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 2.5 hours of direct instructional services per week to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Dedicate 2.5 hours weekly to planning, documentation, and collaborating with educators and families
- Manage a manageable caseload of 5 students, adapting strategies to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, support staff, and administrators
- Support the general education curriculum while advocating for students rights and access
- Contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and progress monitoring
