Job Description

This part-time opportunity offers a specialized teaching role supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in an elementary setting. The position is based in Gilbert, AZ, with service provided to one school, serving students from Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction and support to Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in grades K-5.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and administrators to enhance inclusive learning.
  • Utilize individualized education plans (IEPs) to guide student progress and assess growth.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on communication and auditory skills development.
  • Participate in virtual meetings and training sessions as part of ongoing professional development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Teacher of Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDDHH) certification.
  • Current IVP fingerprint clearance card.
  • Experience working with elementary-age students in special education settings.
  • Ability to work one day per month with potential for increased hours based on enrollment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with school teams.

Location and Schedule:

  • Position serves a school in Gilbert, AZ, with a caseload consisting of younger elementary students.
  • Part-time commitment of one day per month initially, spanning from July 22, 2026, through May 27, 2027.
  • Remote interviews with decision timeline within 24-48 hours from initial contact.
