Job Description

Step into a rewarding educational environment by supporting young learners as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher. This school-based contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact with PreK through 6th-grade students, providing specialized instruction and services in a collaborative setting. Based near Fort Worth, TX, youll have a consistent, in-person presence on a dedicated campus, working a flexible schedule of 21-35 hours per week (minimum three 7-hour days).

What Youll Need to Succeed:

  • Current Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) teaching license through TEA
  • Experience working with school-age children, preferably within Texas schools
  • Strong knowledge of evaluation processes and IEP/ARD participation
  • Ability to read and interpret audiograms
  • Commitment to supporting students with diverse communication needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, grades PreK-6
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Attend and contribute to ARD meetings to develop and monitor student plans
  • Provide guidance and resources to staff and families regarding hearing loss and accommodations
  • Interpret audiological data and develop appropriate educational strategies
  • Manage and organize individualized caseload documentation
