Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide specialized educational support to K-12 students. This role is based in Fort Worth, TX, and offers both full-time and part-time contract positions with a duration through the current school year, ending May 29, 2026.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing tailored instructional plans that address the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing. This role involves collaborating with classroom teachers, speech-language pathologists, and families to enhance communication and learning outcomes. The teacher will also conduct assessments, monitor student progress, and utilize appropriate technology and resources to support accessibility and engagement.

Key Qualifications:

  • Certification or licensure in Deaf Education or related field
  • Proven experience teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a K-12 setting
  • Strong knowledge of communication methods such as sign language, auditory-verbal techniques, and assistive technology
